About Terence Lee Ontong
Terence is Customer Service Manager at GDP Global since 2019. Working from Pretoria South Africa, Terence reaches out to global key accounts and new enquiries from GDP global network of trade and investment promotion clients. His experience covers many aspects of business and government affairs, focused on project management, client engagement and key account management. His experience is based on his work undertaken in his native South Africa as well as in the United Kingdom.
20 years of work experience including 9 years of management experience with over ten private sector businesses in South Africa and the UK. His work experience in South Africa includes three years’ sales and technical support roles at MTN South Africa.
Between 2012 and 2019 Terence worked as a Project and Office Manager with Jovan HR Consultancy Services before moving to Nedbank Business Banking as AML Specialist Team Leader.
His early career experience included two years experience at Nedcor Bank and Matrix Oil, followed by the role of Assistant Team Leader over three years at FNB Home Loans, Johannesburg
In 2009 and 2010 Terence worked at in the UK, at Harrods Direct, also The Listening Company – Sky Customer Services
Returning to South Africa in 2010 Terence assumed technical IT support roles at UNISA South Africa, Department of Tourism, The University of Pretoria and SA Breweries until 2012.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Criminology, Unisa 2018. MCIP/MSCE – (Microsoft Certified Engineer) and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Qualifications 2010-2011. A range of other technical, project and customer management training courses in South Africa and the UK.
